You can't just go about asking Sims to Court without first getting to know them a little. So the conversation needs to build to that. The more romantic options like Ask to Court, and Propose Marriage must be selected after you've used interactions a number of times.

So, we might be looking for at least 6 interactions to unlock Woohoo, but only if they are interested in your Sim. If you start with a few romantic interactions like Woo and Bestow Favor, you'll eventually be able to Kiss as the heat turns up. Roughly every 3 interactions the context of the conversation will improve - see the other Sim's opinion by looking in the top-left of the screen. In order to unlock more powerful social interactions, you need to start with the basic ones. Romantic Interests can spawn if your Sim puts the moves on the other. If you're doing largely friendly interactions, they will be friends. Move the relationship bar through interacting, and when it reaches certain levels your Sim will forge a relationship with the other. While the Sims Medieval's social system is no less complex than that of The Sims 3, it is less important to the gameplay. Relationships: Marriage, Courting, and Friendship This is not an issue for Sims that don't fight. Duel to the Death does not end until one of the Sims has died. Many high level Sims can survive a trip to the Pit, but if your Sim has low focus when so condemned it's likely they'll meet the Reaper. Your level 10 Hero can live forever so long as he doesn't get murdered in a duel or tossed into the Pit of Judgment for committing a crime. Sims in Medieval do not age, and so will never grow old and die of natural causes.

If no heir is present, the inventory is left for a future Hero of the same type. The primary reason to have a child is to have an heir - all the Hero's possessions go to the child upon their death. Sims who have families can generally be happier, but will not see any major benefit. Sims may court, get married, and have children in The Sims Medieval but these family aspects are less important to the gameplay than previous titles of the series. It's a broad list that may enlighten you to new possiblities for your Gameplay.
